SJPT Members Encouraged to Nominate Candidates for Board of Trustees

We welcome members of the Preservation Trust to nominate candidates to fill vacancies on our all-volunteer Board of Trustees. There are currently two slots available: one designated Orcas Island seat, and one at-large seat (nominee can live anywhere within the archipelago). Nominees must have a primary residence on the island that they are representing. To make a nomination, please have your candidate complete the nominees' form, downloadable here. The nominating party must attach a cover letter explaining why you wish to nominate your candidate. Nominations must be received by the Nominating Committee by March 31, 2010. The nominating committee shall have the final authority to select nominees to be placed on the ballot for membership vote. Winning candidates will be announced publicly at the SJPT Annual Meeting on May 22 in Friday Harbor.
