The Wasp Island group sit nearly at the geographical heart of the San Juan Islands and, arguably, could be considered the "quintessential" San Juan Islands.  Join Kathleen Foley from the SJPT and our partners, Shearwater Adventures, for this beautiful kayaking excursion to hidden gems of the Wasp Islands.  We will depart from Deer Harbor, Orcas Island via kayak and paddle through protected waters to visit several of SJPT's protected lands in the Wasp Islands.  We will have a picnic lunch on the beach (bring your own) and return to Deer Harbor.

Details:  No sea kayaking experience necessary (safety briefing and paddle instruction will be provided by Shearwater Adventures).  You will be paddling very stable double sea kayaks.  Dress to get wet...no cotton clothing, sandals and a sun hat/sunglasses are a must.  Dry bags will be provided for cameras and other valuables, as well as all other paddling equipment (PFD's, spray skirt, etc).

Fee: $75 per person (thank you to Shearwater for providing a discount to SJPT for this outing).  Donations over/above kayaking fee to the SJPT are gratefully accepted.
